This ensures the quality, consistency and conformity of our products to national standards and specifications for aggregates. Members of our Service Team are always available to offer advice and guidance on what products are appropriate to meet your requirements. We have the infrastructure to manufacture a wide range of materials for all types of civil engineering and construction works.
Environmental legislation controls many aspects of the recycled aggregate production process, and we are proud to offer a service which operates in accordance with the appropriate regulatory requirements. D Haird and Co Ltd strives to reduce both their own, and their customers impact on the environment.
By Recycling and recovering aggregates from construction and demolition wastes, we ensure that material which would otherwise be landfilled has a beneficial use. This reduces the need for the mining and extraction of primary aggregates. To demonstrate our commitment to sustainable aggregate production and use we have signed up to the Government backed Halving Waste to Landfill initiative, contributing to the national target to divert construction, demolition and excavation waste from landfill. A network of transport routes and material storage hubs allow aggregates to be sourced and supplied to customers over a large operational area, whilst helping to maximise production efficiencies and reducing haulage distance.
